Eye Break is an Android application that helps you take regular eye breaks to reduce eye strain. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
In short: Eye Break stores all your data locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on our servers.
Data We Collect
Data stored locally on your device
The following data is stored only on your device and is never sent to our servers:
- Timer settings: Your focus and break duration preferences, profiles, and notification settings.
- Usage statistics: Break session history and statistics, stored in a local database on your device.
- Preferences: Theme selection, sound settings, and other app configuration.
Data collected by third-party services
- Google Play Billing: If you purchase Eye Break Premium, the transaction is processed entirely by Google Play. We do not collect or store any payment information.
Permissions
Eye Break requests the following permissions, all used solely for app functionality:
- Notifications: To remind you when it's time for an eye break.
- Foreground Service: To keep the break timer running reliably in the background.
- Vibrate: To provide haptic feedback for break notifications.
- Display over other apps: To show the full-screen break overlay.
- Run at startup: To automatically resume your timer after device restart.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with any third parties. The only third-party service integrated into Eye Break is Google Play Billing for processing Premium purchases, operated by Google.
Data Retention & Deletion
All app data is stored locally on your device. You can delete all data at any time by:
- Clearing the app data in your device settings.
- Uninstalling the app.
Children's Privacy
Eye Break is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
